Today is 11-11-11. The 11th of November 2011. Just another day in the land of the sun. And seventeen more days to my birthday. Anyways I've decided to put up some facts you should know about today. Enjoy!

· The last 11-11-11 happened on November 11th, 1911. That day marked a major cold snap in the U.S. during which several cities in the Midwest set record highs and record lows in the same day.
· According to WeddingChannel.com, more than 24-thousand couples across the U.S. plan to get married today, on 11-11-11. USA Today reports that the marriage license bureau in Las Vegas has planned to increase staffing on this “special day.”
· A set of Wisconsin twins will celebrate their 11th birthday on 11-11-11, according to the Washington Post. Their local paper reports that a family member has given each of them 11 presents each.
· Veteran’s Day commemorates the signing of the armistice that ended World War I, which went into effect on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month.
· Some believe 11 is a lucky number. Numerologists associate the number with balance.
· If a number is divisible by 11, reverse its digits and that will create another multiple of 11 (for example, 1,056 is divisible by 11 — reverse it to 6,501, and that’s also divisible by 11).
· Some Verizon stores are seizing the marketing opportunities behind 11-11-11 by opening at 11:11AM to release the newest Droid Razr phone.
· VH1 has proclaimed 11-11-11 as National Metal Day. 11 days of metal programming will follow along with the release of a documentary series, Metal Evolution.
· A new scary movie called 11-11-11 that releases today in theaters. The movie features a man who learns his life is plagued by events that happen on 11-11-11.
