Bert & Ernie Are Best Friends Nothing More!

According to a Sesame Street rep, Burt and Ernie are not gay, or straight, for that matter. They’re just best friends and characters who were created to help teach the children of America.


Well there's been debate about this. The two have lived together since forever and have kept everyone wondering what exactly it was between them or if the producers were trying to pass across a hidden message to its audience. I remember someone telling me they used to sleep in the same bed. but from what I can remember, they had separate beds but they did have baths together with their yellow rubber duckie! I rememeber watching an episode of family guy (I think) where they were in the same bed. That was funny. *Insert Peter Griffin laugh here.


Anyways what brought this up was I was reading an article about how an online petition titled Let Ernie and Bert get married was launched and it had gathered over 6,000 signatures supporting the marriage. Ha ha ha! Some people have nothing to do. 


Oh well the producers of Sesame Street say even though they are identified as male characters and possess many human traits and characteristics, they remain puppets and do not have sexual orientation. So I guess means Ernie and Bert won't be getting married.

My Xpensive Earworm

Just can't seem to get Dotstar's Xpensive out of my head. Its such a bloody "earworm". FYI: Earworms are songs that find their way into your head and get stuck there and play over and over and over and over again (in your head). This song has been playing in my head for over three weeks. Sometimes I even find myself dancing to the song playing in my head. *sigh.

MTV BASE PRESENTS: THE BIG FRIDAY SHOW

As busy as a Bee, on that Big Friday P! Ooooo! Rhyming, I think just made a funny *Stewie Griffin voice. Lol, I'm razz, yes I know. 

MTV Base is celebrating the launch of its brand new Friday night entertainment show called The Big Friday Show that’s set to bring fireworks to Friday night TV! 

The Big Friday Show is an off-the-wall Friday night show, that cuts to the quick of Naija youth culture, combining a high profile host with celebrity interviews, entertainment news, hot music videos of the week, music performances and loads of other exciting stuff. The show will be aired on the MTV Base block on STV every Friday night from 18:00-19:00. Who Says The Tooth Fairy Doesn't Exist

HARD TIMES HIT THE TOOTH FAIRY

"It seems that no one is immune to the economic downturn. A survey conducted by Visa says that American kids are averaging three dollars less per tooth than last year. In addition, the madam of the mouth is forking over money to fewer kids. In 2010, 94 percent of children under the age of 12 got cash for their teeth, while this year, only 90 percent are seeing dough."

I remember the day I found out who the Tooth fairy really was. I shouldn't have been as surprised or as disappointed as I was but hey, I was a kid and I enjoyed the thought of a fairy the size of my palm coming to take away my tooth and replacing it with some crisp currency note. I should have known it was her. MY MOTHER. That day I came back from school early and I saw mum had left her room door open. Trust me to snoop around. I opened one of her jewellery boxes and low and behold was my tooth the Tooth Fairy had taken the night before. 

I was very smart when I was a kid. I'm not boasting, I was. Ask . . . anyways back to the reason why I was smart. After I found out Mum was the tooth fairy, I didn't tell her I knew she was the tooth fairy. Then the next time I felt a tooth shaking I started hinting to my mum to tell the fairy that she needs to increase the amount of money she puts under my pillow and I accept foreign currency as well.

Come to think of it, I wonder what the tooth fairy did with all the teeth she gathered from under my pillow and put in her jewellery box.

Oh well, for those of you with sweet teeth, today is National Milk Chocolate day! x

R.I.P Amy Winehouse

Amy Winehouse was such an amazing singer. I love her voice and the way she expresses herself in her music. "What type of fuckery is this?" I thought it was amazing how she poured her life and feelings into her music. So so sad that she's gone.  


Everyone's talking about how her alcohol/drug abuse got the best of her. Truth is we all have our 'own' demons. If you know yours and how to control yours, good for you. Based on reports in the news from her friends and family members, Amy was doing her best to give up her addiction. FYI, concerning her death, based on a post moterm carried out, 'the result is inconclusive' and her cause of death is unknown.
Tears Dry On Their Own is one of my favourite songs from Amy.
